Well, the Upgrade to a 9.5 came today, now I'm not so sure I want to sell my non-graded copy lol.

Ok, before you laugh, these were part of a larger Griffey lot I purchased on eBay a couple weeks ago. At the price I paid these were essentially freebies (or in my case, future profit). I've seen some Champs cases around before but never held one. The Upper Deck rookie should have no trouble crossing to BGS 8.5 and it may very well be a 9. Just depends on how hard the right edge gets knocked as it doesn't have that crisp cut. I'll probably cross it with my next sub. I expect the grade breakdown to go like this. Centering 9.5, Edges 8.5, Corners, 9, Surface 9.5 = overall 9. I'm guessing the Elite card would land a 7 or 7.5 with corners bringing it down. Debating on selling as it or cracking and selling with accurate description. The case covers my butt while I'd probably get more money raw. While I do not see many Champs cases around I will not hesitate to bid on one so long as I don't mind the condition being a half and potentially up to a full grade off of what BGS would grade.

I absolutely LOVE that Griffey Elite. Great looking card. BTW, I'm sure you already know, but the slab is mislabeled. It is a 1992, not a 1991. Also, there is a SGC 92 up to $20+ right now on ebay. I'm sure you can get at least somewhere around that amount for it.

I got $157 last month for a BGS 9.5. It was a beauty but I couldn't pass up the $125 profit.

I found your ebay ID a while back, you always have some nice stuff. Hopefully that big sub I jumped on of yours will bring the same goldness to you Smile

be8el0ve - How in the hell did either of thos Pujols get a 9 with their centering being off???

I know its been proven time and time again that PSA doesnt give a rip about centering but thats just bad!
