NICE!!! I haven't went old school yet with my graded RCs, but I'm sure its bound to happen! Not sure if I'll pick up PSA or BGS for my older graded stuff.

In time you will. trust me! LOL

it took me some time to start picking up vintage, and im glad i am a point now where i can start to focus on pre-80's RC. They CAN BE costly, as you will find out. lol

The fact someone decided to make baseball cards with topless guys is a little unsettling! Plus, Kirby was not exactly buff.... Big Grin

magman3 - I would say 99% of my pre-80's rookie collection is in a PSA slab. I went BVG 100% based on the eye appeal of the card.

The BGS & PSA9 Collector - The Bench is in a new holder without the sub-grades. I really dislike the plain white label grading label....they should have went rust/copper or something else at least for the vintage cards.

As I scan my pre-80's graded RC's, I will post some more cards.

tattooedmemu - Wow! Awesome Jordans....I need to get a Jordan autograph for my collection one day.

The sticker is my second so far, and the PSA is only my 2nd PSA slab(the first is a Hal Chase T206).

Well with those two I now have 7 Graded Puckett Cards, and a few more coming.

Ya, Puckett Does have some weird cards Thou. It was great, I got those two Graded cards today along with about mid 400 other Pucketts. It was truly fun, I had many of these cards when I was a kid so it was cool to get them back in my hands and look at them again.

Hmmm, Puckett not Buff? Look at his 85 Fleer! He was a strong little man then, like my mom said when I showed her the card, "its hard to think that this man died of a stroke at such a young age, and at the weight he was!"

That is a very nice 4....at times it just makes more sense to go with eye appeal rather than over pay for higher grade.....which at times don't even look as nice.

I believe the sub set also had Rickey Henderson & Jose Canseco shirtless too.
Definetley a little homoerotic considering how male dominated the BB card industry is but this was the early 90's when those type of Calvin Klein ads were in style. I'm sure that was the drivign force behind them.
