State Fair of Texas and NO CARDS WHATSOEVER!
Ok so I know that county fairs and community fairs and stuff like that usually do not have card booths but I figured the state fair of texas does. I have ever gone every year ever since I was little and usually inside of the trade/show buildings there have been guys that have sold sports mem and had a few packs there. I went this year and nothing! My wife and I pretty much covered it all yesterday as far as building wise and I didnt find any singles or packs or anything. Like I said I really have never found singles in years past but usually a few packs of something as far as booths and stops of guys that sell there memoralbilia! Anyways just wondering if anyone has ever picked up any cards at any fair event or trade days type of events.

I didn't see cards at the Texas state fair either. I did see alligator sausage though and fried beer.

No joke: Here in AZ I used to get cards at gun shows. Singles, packs, new, and vintage.

Bleedinggreen87- I def wouldnt expect cards at a car show but that is def something that we saw alot of, CARS! I test drove the new 2011 Mustang and the 2011 Camaro on little dinky tracks!lol, oh well it was still fun to drive a new sports car a little!
Keyser Soze- Right now I live in Huntsville,TX which I dont know if yo uknow where that is or not but its by conroe. It sucks too man because there is nobody here that I can actually meet up with in huntsville to go to a card show or anything. My card buddies are literally all online!lol akbobcat- DUDE we def got our fried fixins this weekend man! I have never tried fried beer, I saw a guy in line get it and I was confused because it looked like little ravioli with what looked to be cheese on the side. I did obviously have a TEXAS STATE FAIR CORNDOG! 2 of them actually and I had fried butter. The corndog was obviously excellent but I was kind of dissapointed of the fried butter didnt like it too much. My wife and I usually try a new fried food each year. Last year I had fried oreos which was ok which I dont know if you have ever had those but I could actually feel my arteries clogged plus I could actually HEAR myself getting fatter! lol still had a blast though and def had fun this year too! Rangers and cowboys lost so not a good day as far as texas sports though azdbaxxx- I would never think you would find cards at a gun show! I guess kind of like little vintage pick ups at the antique store. astroburn- the most I have gotten from an antique shop were a few cards from 1959 topps.

I don't know how much the booths cost -- but I would, especially with how the Rangers did this year and the Cowboys popularity think you would have done well selling low-medium priced singles and team sets. For as many people as go through the Fair, you should catch some hits
