Do we really need another of these top 5 lists? If you're so curious just go through last weeks threads and you'll find a few of these I'm sure.

Its the same damn thing over and over and over and over.....

I am just wondering ? Growing up you hear how Marino is the best QB, but obviously no rings.

Steve Young has, and was a great rushing QB so how is he worse than Montana when stats are near the same, MVPs are the same, but Montana has more Superbowl Mvps Do rings make the QB ?
* NFL Record 96.8 career QB Rating
* NFL Record 43 career QB Rushing Touchdowns
* Super Bowl Record 6 Touchdown passes - Super Bowl XXIX

Because he's Joe 'Freaking' Montana!

I didn't just want a list, I wanted people to explain their list. Sad

Your List of Top 5 QBs of all time.
1. Joe Montana. Nothing flashy, just the consumate leader and the ultimate winner.
2. John Elway. Probably the most complete QB ever to play the game. He had the arm, could scramble, was a leader and did a lot on his own with not a lot of support.
3. Johnny Unitas. A lot like Montana. A leader and a winner.
4. Dan Marino. Probably the best pure passer the game ever had.
5. Brett Favre. Great arm, could improvise, but also made a lot of mistakes. A really fun QB to watch.

When it's all said and done, Brady and Manning will probably bump a couple guys from that list.

Otto Graham. Check out these numbers. Won championship 7 times in 10 years. Made it to the championship game 10 times in 10 years. Career record of 105-17-4. Also won a basketball championship with the Rochester Royals (present day Sacremento Kings). The most successful QB ever.

1. Unitas- did it all, won championships and set records. He would probably hold all the NFL records if he got to play under today's rules.

2. Marino- probably the most talented QB, too bad he didn't have a better defense.

3. Montana- 4 rings

4. Favre- Holds the records for now

5. Elway- The guy I would want if my team was down 4 with 2 minutes to play.

Just missed the cut- Bradshaw the only other QB with 4 rings. He suffered by playing with bad teams early in his career.

Will soon be on the list- Peyton Manning, if I had to predict, I would say he will rank right behind Johnny U when he is done.
