Best game you have ever been to
I took my kids 2 a Kansas City Royals game early in the year. The tickets were given to us free cause it was a Thursday night and the guy couldn't go. It was 4 tickets, my youngest is 2 and gets in free so my family of 5 was happy to take the tickets. It was also a night sure to get rained out, but we didn't care. We arrived just to hit rain delay in the 2nd inning or so. We took that time to hit the new Hall of Fame they had built the year before. The game continued and a few innings later, again, rain delay. This time a bit longer, by now most fans had hit the road (go figure). We are not fair weather fans, so we stuck around yet again. After the 3rd delay, everyone had all but gone. The late hours were rolling in and we were still hanging in. We decided to move closer, as a matter of fact, the first row behind the Royals dugout to be exact. We ran into an usher we new, it just so happens my daughters pre-school teacher is an usher, dumb luck. So she let us stay there and we watched the rest of the game from there. In about the 7th inning my 4 year old was lucky enough to have a foul ball tossed to her. Wow, what a game so far, well worth sticking around. Oh, but then it gets better. In the 9th the bat boy turns to my 2 year old, after yet another foul ball, and tosses her (via me) the ball. What a night, both my girls were on cloud 9, never had they been to such a game in their short lives. They will never forget that game, nor will I. Yeah no big HR or no World Series or anything, but to the kids its as good as it gets.

Best game you have ever been to
1990 NBA Finals Game 1 (Portland @ Detroit). Detroit was losing the entire game until they took over in the 4th quarter to win. I wish I could say I've been to a baseball game to rival that game, but I can't. These days I can't stand to watch the NBA (full of arrogant punks and wannabe thugs who don't appreciate what they have). It doesn't help that the Tigers have stunk the past 2 decades until the last 5 years.

Best game you have ever been to
Baseball- Steve Carlton's 300th career win vs Cardinals was good game to be at but not good for my team. The best all time was 1982 World Series Game 7 and 2006 World Series Game 5, both won by the Cardinals to be crowned Champions.
Hockey- The Monday Night Miracle. St. Louis Blues come back and beat the Calgary Flames. Football- Been to a lot of good games but none that I would call great. ![]() I build sets, collect Lou Brock & Jeremy Maclin. Both of my sons went to Kirkwood HS with Jeremy. I will also look at Kurt Warner, Big Ben and Old Big Red Auto's. |

Best game you have ever been to
My Girlfriend bought me tickets to the Seattle Mariners vs Tampa Bay Rays for my birthday last year. Knowing that griffey had come back, and she even looked for at the give aways and it was a griffey bobblehead night. my birthday was in may, the game wasn't until aug so the wait was horrendous. Let it be known that I had never attended a game at Safeco and I'd wanted to since it was first mentioned. long story short.. we got to the game and I gotta tell you I felt like a little kid walking through those gates and seeing the field for the first time. Our seats were in right field four rows up. Ichiro was literally 50 ft away at the most and tipped his cap and pointed to a group of japanese girls sitting to our right.
Before the game taking in some BP my cousins girlfriend worked for the mariners and set it up that Mariners announcer Dave Simms came to my seat and talked to my girlfriend and I for about 15 minutes. Signed my hat and had some small chat and he took off. it was great. Then the game started and Felix Hernandez was pitching. through the first 7 innings the mariners ended up getting stifled going down 5-1. Bottom of the seventh comes along and Griffey comes up.. (as everyone knows, he's my boyhood idol) count goes to 2-1 and the next pitch he hit's 10 ft to our left for a homer. the guy in front of me actually somehow gets the ball. the homer sparks a rally in which the mariners tie the game and it goes into extras. In the bottom of the eleventh pinch hitter langerhans comes up and works the count, suspense building he cranks the next pitch again just over our heads and to the left for a game winning homerun. Place was going nuts, loud, screaming. it was amazing.. ![]() Looking for griffey-king felix- HOF autos/gu |

Best game you have ever been to
Possibly Bagwell or Biggio Jersey Retirement Day/Night. Bagwell game we had mezzanine seats, and the Biggio was a late notice and we got 4 $7.00 seats, when they unveiled the jersey plaque, everybody went nuts, started bowing to him, yelling Biggio is God. The pitching match up was the best. Roy Oswalt vs Randy Johnson. We got a lunchbox as a giveaway. Or the Astros vs Yankees game, the drunks yelling at bobby Abreu in the out field was hilarious. "Hey Abreu, is the number on your back(51) your age?" Just the mixed reactions from the fans when big stars like Jeter and A-Rod came up was amazing. I don't think i have seen so many iPhones in the crowd before lol.
LOOKING FOR: All Craig Biggio, Collin DeLome, Jeff Bagwell, Tommy Manzella, Bill y Wagner, Moises Alou, Shane Reynolds, Hunter Pence, Roy Oswalt, Miguel Tejada, Ivan Rodriguez, Lance Berkman and Carlos Lee cards. |
