With a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!

Noah and his team won their championship by a score of 17-13. They went through the double-elimination tournament without losing any games!!

We are scheduled to leave for New York City tomorrow at noon, but to this point, we hadn't told Noah. Since they won tonight, it doesn't matter now.

The team was schedule to meet at the field tomorrow in uniform, but the kids voted not to get their trophies tomorrow and to wait until the banquet since Noah couldn't be there. We were very touched. All of the parents and coaches thanked us for putting our vacation off for a couple of days for Noah to be there at the end.

So, without further delay, here are his stats for the season:

Batting Average .794
Slugging Percentage 1.441
Triples 14
Doubles 16
Singles 24

In 18 games, he got out a total of 14 times (strike outs, put outs, etc.). Here are the stats for his team:

Wins 13
Losses 4
Ties 1
Total Runs Scored 228
Total Runs Allowed 144

I won't be able to post pictures until we return from vacation, as I took 468 total pictures and they're uploading now.

Thank all of you who helped to support him and were always encouraging!!

David, Jane, Noah, and Luke Thomas

Absolutely!! Last year, they won it ON Fathers' Day. This year, the day after was the best they could do!!

The look on his face whenever the game ended: Priceless

Sounds like he is a man amongst boys. Kinda like Bron Bron a few years ago in HS. Time to kick the competition up a notch... otherwise he might get bored at the level he is at.

If he had gotten one more hit, his average would have been .809 Smile

He had a coach from the minor leagues (the next step) tell him on Saturday that he was going to draft him next season. Noah was pretty excited! He will have just turned 8 and will be competing with 10-year-olds. He wishes he could do that now. His drive and competitive nature is unreal.

Sounds like Noah had an incredible season....I always enjoy reading your posts when I stop by the BMB from time-to-time.

Best of luck to you and your family. :-)
