Got my first BGS card back.
I set my dreams high...and they were crushed, lol. I'm gathering up a small collection of cards to take advantage of the $5/card special so we'll see how that one goes.
The card in question is my pride and joy, 1992 Gulf Coast Yankees Fleer/Procards Derek Jeter, autographed. Long story short my grandmother received it from Derek's dad at work because he would hand out cards to anyone who had an interest. So this is one of two autographed cards I received that way. I wanted to see if I had taken good enough care of it over the years for it to be worth some serious money, and I didn't. I got a 7 on the autograph, and 7 overall. The corners and surface scores are what did me in. If anyone's curious here's some pics I snapped of it. I'll probably be lurking around here some more as I start building up my collection of graded cards so it's nice to meet y'all.

You could have put a "minimum" grade on it & told them to slab it in a blue authentic slab if it did not reach the grade desired ,,,,, this way if resold it could garner a decent amount,,,,,
Nice card though !! Hope to see more of you around the boards & welcome Jeff SUGGESTIONS SUBMIT IT HERE !! Mod Team member |

Yeah, I didn't know about the authentic or graded option when I sent it in. I've been picking up on that kind of stuff reading through the forums.
I'll certainly be hanging around more. |
