Need advice on VERY HIGH END trade...
Look, if only two of those cards interest you alot, then I would turn down the offer. I think the Bush gravy train has come and gone and while Rivers, LT, and Palmer are good players, they aren't the same caliber player as Hank. Oden hasn't even set foot on a court in an NBA game yet so you don't know how he will do. I retract my first statement in hopes you may reconsider your decision.

Need advice on VERY HIGH END trade...
jdtcards Wrote:Well, here is the deal, I cannot afford to keep the Aaron, so either way, I will have to sale or trade it. I need to know if anyone thinks that I am getting a better deal in this trade than what the card would sale for. Honestly, I do not see the card going over $3000 in a regular auction, but these cards have been selling very well as of late. I know that I can get $3000 or a little more on the cards I will receive, just not sure on the AARON, although it could be HUGE. Sell it do not trade it bad move/ |

Tell the guy you would like to hold off for now and ask him if you could possibly work a trade later. If he says yes, then list the cards for sale on ebay and see what it does. If you think it would bring in high dollar prices, then but a reserve on it for something you are comfortable with. If it sells, and you get the right price for it, good for you. If not, go back and trade it. Just be honest with the other party and let them know you may need to sell it to recoup some money for your bank account. |

Well if money is the key, and you think you can get more with the cards from the trade, then go for it. I don't follow any of the players or cards from your trade so I don't know... but what I do know is what has been mentioned, that Hank card is from one of the most popular and sought after sets, it can only increase in value. But then again, depending on how quickly you want to sell, the others might be the best bet, especially if they are selling higher right now. Good luck with your decision. Casey |

e-bay is running a $0.25 cent listing day for fixed price auctions thru July 29th. If you need cash, you might consider putting up the Hank with a high BIN/BO and see what you can get.
I don't follow football as closely as baseball, but I'm not sure you could get $3,000 out of those cards. Per card, how does the $3K break down? |

I would keep the Hank without question.
One thing to consider is that many many people are putting this set together, so you will find some nutzo set collector willing to pony up some heavy cash. |

Here are how these prices breakdown right now. Some could go higher, some maybe a little lower. The Tomlinson looks to be a 9.5, but 9 on the auto. Jordan could grade well, and there are no 9.5's on it so far, so if it grades a 9.5, the sky is the limit on it.
2001 LaDainian Tomlinson Bowman Chrome rc auto (last sale was $900) 2003 Philip Rivers SP Authentic 3 color Patch/Auto rc ($300) 2003 Carson Palmer SP Authentic 1 Color Patch/Auto rc ($330) 07-08 Greg Oden Topps Draft Day Auto /50 Uncirculated ($350) 2006 Reggie Bush SP Authentic 2 color patch/auto rc ($350) 2006 National Treasures Reggie Bush ($250) 97-98 Michael Jordan Upper Deck Game Jersey ($600 - last 8.5 sold for $600) Carson Palmer 03 Finest Gold XFractor Uncirculated /50 ($175-200) |
