01 Leaf R&S GREAT AMERICAN TREASURES and TOOLS of the TRADE - Need Opinions/Ideas of Values...
Okay, as some of you know, I had the chance to pick-up some really nice Hank Aaron items. I am in the process of getting some more from the collector, but was wondering of values of these:

2001 Leaf Rookie & Stars Great American Treasures GW Cap #GT-19

2005 Donruss Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade #TT-122 card, Jersey card with Button

I know the GAT is serial numbered, but I cannot remember how many. As for the Jsy/Button card, I am sure it is also serial numbered and I know some button cards sale well, just not sure what value to put on these. If anyone has any ideas or can remember completed sales on eBay, please let me know. I just do not want to put more than I have to into them. Thank you.

There was a Great American Treasures card in the Beckett Marketplace a while back (maybe a year or so). I believe it was up for sale at $750. It was either sold or removed because when I looked the other day, it was gone.

Although there were announced print runs for the GAT cards, they were not actually stamped with serial numbering.

I hope this helps.

Ooops...forgot to mention...I believe the Aaron is listed at 25 copies.

Long ago I pulled the Nolan Ryan Piece of the 7th No-Hitter baseball from this Great American Treasures set out of 2001 Leaf RC and Stars. I remember the print run was stated to be 25 copies, so they are pretty rare. I sold the Ryan back in 2001 for $650 after seeing two other Ebay sales for right around that same amount.

Yeah, the GAT game used have always sold well, but I cannot remember what some of the higher end (Cobb, Aaron, etc.) have sold for. I think a Cobb got up to $610 with the reserve not met, but I cannot remember. Thanks, and if anyone has any other info, on this or the TOTT jsy/button card (has an actual button), please let me know.

I bought the GAT Cap off Ebay last year for about $200. I then sold it a few months later for $600. The set collectors must not have seen it the first time. Depending on the look of the jersey under the button (wool or polyester) and the serial number, I'd say $200-300 for the button. I think I used to own one, but I'm not 100% sure. I think I bought it for about $200 and sold it for about $300. A vintage-looking jersey button sold for mid-$200s after I purchased mine but before I sold it. I sold mine for a best offer and am still looking for another to replace it.

MrWhiteSox30 - Thanks for the input. I like the Leaf Limited Buttons better than the TOTT, but I will take any Aaron button I can get. Thanks again, nice cards.

Found my pics of the Ryan I pulled back in 2001. The ball was signed by Nolan Ryan and all four umpires of that game. The piece of the ball on the front shows some blue ink section where you can see the "#37" part. The back of the card shows the actual ball that was cut up where you can see where umpire Drew Coble, American League umpire #37 on the roster list, signed the ball and noted "AL #37" by his sig. It's cool to be able to pinpoint the exact place where the section came from. Enjoy.
