dwalrod

He's the best player in the history of the game...probably has some wisdom to share.

In five years, Blake Wheeler is a footnote. No one will remember him. Just a hunch.

BTW, this can't be Lindros II (that was mentioned by someone else). Lindros was a superstar before he played a game in the NHL. Wheeler? He's a nobody.

That's the first thing I thought to myself when I saw that comment. I follow hockey very closely and the only reason I know the name "Blake Wheeler" is because he refused to sign a contract...I started hearing the name of Eric Lindros years before he was drafted...

He's sure to wind up on Carcillo's Radar next time the Bruins come to town. Might want to keep him on the Scratch list that game.

When I heard he Picked Boston, that really took the cake. It's pretty obvious what his REAL motivation is. He knew he could not gain much Instant Popularity in Phoenix because there are so many young potential Stars on the team. So Boston is a place where he can probably get some local noteriety, for whatever thats worth. As long as he can walk the walk.

He must have missed Kessel. I have to say the Yotes fans seem pretty worked up about a "nobody". I am not predicting a stellar career for him but I do think he will be a little more productive in the NHL than most seem to. He is a big kid with some skills. Not sure why he chose Boston other than the Kessel connection...If it were notoriety that he was after he would have signed in Minnesota. I am pretty sure he isn't a star in the making for the Bruins either.

I will take Carcillo in that one. He is an animal and would own either one of those players. Lucic is a very tough kid bud Carcillo is the next level up in that category.

I'll dismiss that statement as a funny little joke.
Lucic is a monster. Look up some of his fights from last season against Matt Bradley, David Clarkson, Mark Bell, Jared Boll, etc, etc. Carcillo's good, but once he tries to fight out of his class he gets owned (look up Ivanans vs Carcillo from last season). Carcillo would definitely be playing the defense in that one.
Thornton is an established heavyweight, much better than Lucic and you say that Carcillo would own him too? Haha, that's laughable. I love Carcillo for the way he plays the game and he is a good fighter if he stays in his class, however Thornton is a weightclass above him and would maul him up.
