06 Cutler Exquisite Auto Patch - Still Worth the same as rookie hype year?
I just wanted to see some other opinions out there. I contacted the seller on this about what he was willing to take for it. He said he received and offer for $2,200. I don't think any of Cutlers cards are worth over $1,000 anymore let alone $6k. This would be the last big card in my PC cutler rookie set, but way out of my price range. The seller could be full of it thinking that someone is still willing to pay what the card was going for back in 06. I wish this guy would let it go up for auction to see what the real value is.

Most of the 2006 Exquisite rookies were priced too high to begin with. People paid a lot and are still hoping to pull in that kind of money. Reggie Bush was the highest and you can often find his for about 1/3 of what it did sell for (at one point $3000+).
Unless you have money to burn or have the belief that Cutler can win a Super Bowl or 2, there's no way you should pay over $2000 for that card now. melcmd http://photobucket.com/melcmd95boys |

I thought the prices were outrageous back in 06. It just sucks that the last card I need in my master set is unavailable unless I win lotto and stop caring about money.
I have seen the Reggie Bush auto patch go for $600. I guess I can only pray that one of the two guys that are selling will put it up for auction so we can see the real value. |

This card is more limited in production compared to the other cards in this set which is why the overall value will be more. I think the regular version is numbered to 20 and the gold parallel numbered to 10 if I'm not mistaken. I think if he put it up for auction at this point it will sell for 1100-1700 range IMO. I've seen most of them sell for 2-3K in the past. If it's for your collection and you have money I'd say go for it. Also, it's true, this guy is known to sell fake patches in the past though the Exquisite Cutler is not one. I've also purchased cards from him before and have had no problems whatsoever.

fbfn Wrote:just an FYI, that seller is a KNOWN patch faker, BEEEEEEWARE!!! Good to know. Thanks. I think the Cutler is real, but I will have to pass on the high price anyway. There was another card like this on the bay for about four days. Same guy bid on both of these. I asked the seller what he sold it for. He said it was an undisclosed price. I am guessing it was under $1,000. BIN's suck. Autctions show the true value in the market. |
