The seller should have made this an "Approved Bidder's Only" auction.
I'm sure there are multiple people out there who have no intention of buying it, but want to see how far they can push the price. I'd be willing to bet that the guy whom may have won it, had there been limits, has been watching this skyrocket since he got out at about 100K

you know its just to hype the card up by placing it on ebay. it has gotten alot of attention, starting with the local press and now the entire nation of card collecting. a lot of people put stuff up for auction on ebay with no real intention of selling it. I am sure that it should bring in around $25K, which is $24K more than its worth.

makes me wonder too, last night it was at almost a million now back to half. This card doesn't look that great, and it shouldn't be compared to the Honus wagner card. My thing is though, 150 something bidders, does 150 somI people have a million dollars to blow on a card, I don't even have a thousand
