FAKE KOBE AUTO's RETURN! In LOT FORM!!
chrisA19978 Wrote:Would you feel differently if they were graded. Thats my question because I have seen them signed and I had my chance to get them back when they came out but I didn't get any. Kinda like the Jordan Star RC wich I sain no to when he was a RC. Its the mistakes you make. But I do know that he did sign those cards. How many I am not sure but there are signed ones out there.

It is fake. I have done some homework about it, when creativemunky posted this before. It is as real as a fake does.

Even on the card itself says Authenic Autograph. I just looked at it again unless he is making fake cards now also. You do see that on the ebay item.

chris, please do some research about this. The cards were created, intended to be signed, but were never signed. I can't remember the particular reason why, but I'm thinking the company hit bankruptcy or something. Regardless, this dude ended up with a bunch of cards that were never signed but say 'authentic autograph' on them because they were supposed to be signed. That's why they say 'authentic autograph'. If you were to show me one that is graded by PSA or BGS, I would say it slipped under their noses because they didn't do research. If one of these was submitted to PSA/DNA for autograph authentication, I bet you my life savings it would be unauthentic. In my tenure as an autograph lover, I've seen good fakes that could pass under most noses and I've seen some bad fakes that a four year old should be able to tell are counterfeit. These are pushing the '4 year old' side of the spectrum.

Seriously man, please stop with supporting fake cards.

PSA Grading involves slabbing a card and assigning a certificate number. Can you please tell me where is the PSA slab of certificate number?

Not to mention these cards are not licensed so the only slab PSA would put them in would be a Blue label PSA/DNA type which authenticate the autgraph only and not say anything about the card's authenticity.

When scoreboard went under a ton of their cards (including these) along with certificates of authenticity for products never released were sold off at bankruptcy auction.

These are true fakes and never made it to market.

I will issue a challenge right now because I am 100% positive these are fakes.... If you buy one of these cards, send it to PSA/DNA for authentication and it comes back real, I will pay for all of your authentication fees and also throw in this real Kobe Autograph...

Here is a clip from a website pretty much downing scoreboard but this is what they had to say about Kobe Bryant.

The only card redemption that could have been filled after 1998 is any auto by Kobe Bryant. Kobe's contract with Scoreboard did not expire until 2002. You will see a lot of cards with a Scoreboard stamp and COA saying its was a redemption. The majority of the redemptions were never filled. The ones that were filled were mostly on bats and they came with too many different wood colors and COA's. I would stay away from all bats.

Here is the web site.

Why don't you try the PSA/DNA QuickOpinion then if you're so sure? Or just buy one and send it in. DrJ already said he would reimburse you if it was real. Since you're so sure it's real, that sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

I will take you up on that offer I have already talked to him and if it dosen't meet the reserve I am going to get one. So if it comes back real I will be expecting a Kobe Bryant Auto from you. I will be sending it to JSA/BGS so there will be no doubts James Spance is the best Autograph certifer around.

Sounds like someone needs a edumacation (lol). Frankly I'll let this pic speak for itself ( I OWN THIS CARD BTW):

Now, next challenge is to YOU. FIND one that is graded. Just one. NOBODY will grade these as if they have an autograph on it the auto is a forgery. If you get one to pass I will pay for the grading myself PLUS the value of the card +$50 (but there is NO VALUE as the cards were never issued! Beckett doesnt even list them in the directory OR the annuals!)

Finnally here is a link to the original thread: http://beta.beckett.com/group/185226/?ta...icle />

Then explain this if nothing else: HOW DID THE ORIGINAL SELLER GET AHOLD OF 30+ Kobe AUTOGRAPH CARDS THAT WERE SUPPOSEDLY PACK INSERTED????
I don't care how much in quantity you buy, the odds are impossible of obtaining that amount of the key star of that set. Period!

PS: I love any time I post a pic of the legit item the naysayers shut up. Dont know if anyone remembers the 1998 Pinnacle Pen Pals argument I got in with a seller a while back about the Terrelll Davis sig being fake, but same thing happened. I posted a pic of the legit item and the guy stopped talking about that card and changed it to a 1/1 (different card) of his  not being fake.
