I do not understand why there is all this hype about Tim Tebow. Nobody gave a crap about him until Denver took him in the first round over two other popular quarterbacks. Now all the sudden he is everybody's golden boy. A lot of the same guys shelling out a lot of money are the same ones that didn't think he would be drafted until the late rounds. Well I am not going to buy into the hype, becuase he reminds me of a guy named Gino Torretta that was a Heisman Trophy winner for the University of Miami and was drafted high to the Vikings then was a huge flop. Mark my words that Tebow's cards will be in everyone's commons box within three years if not sooner. And as much as I hate to say this... part of me hopes I am wrong because of the money some guys are dropping for his flop cards.

Typical Tebow Hater.

Why do you care what collectors spend their money on? If someone wants to spend big money for Tebow, it may be because they like the guy and no more. Others are investors who want to flip his cards if he does well. Again, that is up to each individual collector. Why do you care?

Tim Tebow had a great college career. Will that happen in the NFL? Time will tell. It appears that he has a very good work ethic, excellent leadership abilities, athletically gifted, and a very strong will to win.

I wish the kid well!

He may not be a joke, but he's not that talented to be a future star and to be a future legend. He's not a HoFer material. The buyers of his cards can spend whatever they want, it doesn't concern me or my collection. Tim Tebow might be a good person, but he is not going to be a great football player. These are just my opinions, so peace.

I honestloy do not care what collectors spend their money on. Maybe its the way I wrote it, but I think it was taken a little out of context. I am somewhat new on here and thought it would be alright to voice an opinion. Apparently I was wrong. If I knew of the extreme backlash this was going to cause I would have just kept it to myself. So from now on I understand now that you have to censor yourself and are not allowed to openly express your opinions. I will probably just continue to use the site for pricing and not put ANYTHING else on the message boards. I was also thinking about getting into trading, but now I will probably not be doing that now either because since I decided to express my opinion about a player everybody onhere will not deal with me. That being said I did not mean to offend anyone so harshly although it seems I have. So I am sorry for who I offended, but I am not sorry for having my opinion. Now I get the point and enough is enough. Happy Tebow collecting to everyone and I hope you guys get, buy or pull something good.

Aloha Ntegeler, I don't think that anyone is implying that you cannot express your opinion, It's just a matter of backing up your statements with facts. Mahalo & GOD bless.

Tim Tebow is a joke!!
Tebow is a winner, and he is yet to be proven otherwise.  Don't let media hype weigh on your judgement....just go pull a Tebow or two, sell them, pocket some suckers cash.

Also, I notice the baseball in your avatar...what about Strasburg? $16k+ ( or whatever the heck it sold for) for a baseball player non-auto not named Honus Wagner? REALLY?

Edit: After rereading your other posts in this thread I felt bad about the whining comment, I realize your just voicing your opinion just like anyone else.

I personally am not a Tim Tebow fan but i must agree with many other repliers here that he does have great leadship skills on the field as i'm sure off the field as well. There isn't too many born field leaders such as P. Manning or B. Farve or the others of years past, but i think Tebow may be one more to add to the short list of field majors to march and rally their players down the field to a championship. Just remember Tebow does have a good jump shot in the end zone lol!!!

Tim Tebow is a joke!!
The main reason why I want Tebow to excel is his attitude.  You just can't get this kid down, you tell him the way he has played his whole life is wrong, what does he do? He doesn't throw a tantrum...he accepts constructive criticism and he improves.  Not alot of people with his exposure and status are willing to admit and do such a thing.

ntegeler Wrote:...well what about Kyle Orton? McDaniels also saw something in him in order to give up arguably one of the best up and coming quarterbacks in the NFL in Jay Cutler to the Bears. So then why isn't Orton the answer in Denver? ...

Dude... You have a valid opinion in Tebow. He doesn't have the mechanics. He's working on it. He has the arm strength of a QB definitely. He has the leadership ability, the determination, and the will to learn more and more in his position.
For examples, Darren McFadden is a good RB and so is Reggie Bush, however I don't believe they'll get that opportunity to prove it with the team they are with just because the system they are in isn't built on the run game... (at least for the Saints. Oakland needs help overall.)
Remember Randy Moss in that Raiders' uni? No?! Yeah, not many people wanna remember that. Everyone said he doesn't have it anymore. Wrong system. No passion for a failing system.
Romo, Brady, Hasselbeck, Schaub, KURT WARNER,... Coaches and teams saw something in them. And they were right.
Sports analysts are just what they are... Analysts. Hence, weather analysts. "It won't rain tomorrow."
We've heard that one before.
OH! Back to McDaniels letting Cutler go... Dude. Get your facts straight. Josh McDaniels DID NOT see anything in Kyle Orton. McDaniels messed up with Cutler by wanting Matt Cassel in Denver. Cutler didn't want to play for a coach who didn't give a **** about the starting franchise QB already in Denver. Cutler wouldn't even talk to Josh McDaniels and demanded the trade. McDaniels didn't go after Orton.
And you really gotta follow the SEC to understand that about 85% or so of the players in the NFL come from the SEC. (I might be overexaggerating the number a bit.) Cuz everybody knows!!! They're ain't such a thang called college football. Just the SEC!
Bama, LSU, UGA, Auburn, Florida, Arizona, Ole Miss, and more.
EDIT: OOps! Arkansas... not Arizona. Darn them "A" states.

Tim Tebow is a joke!!
Aloha Ntegeler, I found this article coming straight from the horses mouth (No pun intended).
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- It’s 30 minutes after the Denver Broncos completed a June minicamp practice on a warm day in the Rockies.Future Hall of Famer and team leader Champ Bailey is

relaxing near the entrance to the team’s locker room, about to enjoy the air conditioning and a post-practice meal.Bailey suddenly points to a figure on a distant field. A solitary player remains at work. It’s Tim Tebow.“See that?” Bailey asks. “That’s Tebow. It’s long after practice and he’s

still out there. That’s what he does. That’s not for show. He’s not just doing that because the media is here today. He does that every day.”That’s why Bailey, one of the best left cornerbacks of this era and someone whose opinion on quarterbacks matters, is putting his bet on

Tebow. When Denver shocked the NFL world by trading three picks to take Tebow at No. 25 overall, the former Florida quarterback became one of the stories of the draft. He was already a polarizing figure before he was picked. Some NFL scouts and teams believed that Tebow’s

athleticism, work ethic and desire would translate into NFL success. Other teams, worried about his awkward mechanics and arm strength, didn’t rate him high. Now that Broncos coach Josh McDaniels has staked his reputation as a quarterback guru and his future as Denver’s head coach

on Tebow, the buzz has exploded. It’s just not in the media and on fan boards. It’s in the Broncos’ locker room.“We’re all interested in it,” Bailey says. “He has the team behind him. We heard so much about Tebow before he got here and he’s a big story. But everything he has

shown shows that he can succeed. The guy just works at his job so much.”Several hours later, Tebow, who has routinely leads the charge in team sprints during practice, emerges from the extra field work and the classroom. His eyes light up when Tebow is told of the high praise

coming from his high-profile teammate.“That’s what I want ,” Tebow says. “It means so much that my teammates believe in me and know that I’m working hard. That’s why I’m here.”It’s important that Tebow is committed to hard work. He has to keep plowing if he is going to make

an impact anytime soon. Tebow struggled some in minicamp, where he has misfired several times and thrown interceptions. Yet, he bounced back Saturday from a poor showing Friday. Basically, Tebow looks like what he is: a rookie quarterback. He's up and down.He is the No. 3

quarterback on the roster behind starter Kyle Orton and backup Brady Quinn. McDaniels said Tebow has to make strides during the summer. “Nothing is going to be given to him,” McDaniels said. “He has to keep coming along.”Still, the Broncos believe Tebow will be on the fast

track.McDaniels lauds Tebow’s study habits and his eagerness to learn. The coach said the key for Tebow this summer will be to find a way to translate what he is digesting in the classroom and make the correct adjustments on the field.“That’s what’s he’s learning now,” McDaniels

said“That’s not easy. Just because you know it in the classroom, it doesn’t mean you can do it on the field. That’s the process he’s going through now.”“You have to train your brain to make it click on the field," Tebow said. "It’s going fast and I have to make those adjustments.”Tebow is

relishing the lack of restrictions that comes with being an NFL quarterback. Because his school has graduated, he can spend all the time he needs studying and learning at the facility.“It’s 24 hours football,” Tebow said. “I love it. This is how I’m going to spend my summer.”Known for

his intensity and strong will, Tebow strives for success because he knows the football world is watching. He says he wants to succeed for his family and his new coaches. “Coach McDaniels picked me," he said. "This isn’t like college where I could have gone anywhere. They took a

chance on me. I want to succeed for the Broncos.”But Tebow also admits he’s driven because of the fear of failure.“I have that in me,” Tebow said.”The SEC championship loss to Alabama [last December] drives me. That’s with me, more than the national championships or other big wins.

The failures stick with you. I don’t want that feeling. Nobody likes that feeling.”There’s no doubt Tebow is fierce competitor solely focused on making good. Will it work in Denver? His on-the-field work shows he is a rookie quarterback with a lot to learn. His dedication as a professional

shows that Tebow is as advertised.“I’m impressed,” Bailey said. “I like what I see so far.”
