I think Shockey is kinda obvious. Everyone saw what they did without him, and I think, that showed how little they need him in NY.

It's not that it showed that he was overrated, it just showed that their offense was a lot better when they spread the ball out. Boss NEVER complained about touches, nor did anyone else.

Bottom line is Eli sucked in the reg season barely getting his team to the playoffs and then playing like a real Manning when he got there and Romo cruised through the reg season and sucked in the playoffs !!

In defense of Romo, last years loss wasn't all his fault. He made a couple of big throws at the end of the game, but they were dropped (*cough* CRAYTON *cough*)

michael huff and robert gallery

both still havent performed like we need them to, not so much huff but gallery has just been poop for 80% of the time he has played, still have high hopes for both

under

nnamdi asomugha and justin fargas

Huff overrated...kinda hard for someone who is not playing their natural position you know? And Robert Gallery is far from overrated, maybe in 2004, but now...definitely not

OVER RATED

put down the crack pipe!

first off lets start with eli...the guy is a bum. look at his stats during the regular season. His completion percentage is horrible and his qb rating has never been in the 80s at the end of the year since hes been a pro he shouldnt even of won the mvp he played a decent game but by no means was he the determining factor that goes to the defensive

dwight freeny yeah he gets sacks but he doesnt get enough to justify the fact that he is horrible against hte run...dwight freeny makes probowls when the person opposite him robert mathis does a better job against hte run and puts up similar sack numbers but doesnt get a probowl vote i count that as overrated

then we have richard seymore hes a presence on the team thats it. His numbers are horrible and he is no where near the hype that he gets.

now my favorite big ben. His superbowl was a product of the team being good. I think he is ok but not as good as people make him out to be (and if you care to know im a steeler fan). He is way too agressive to the point where he ignores his wide open checkdowns. He has a slow release which is only countered by the fact that he can scramble. If he was slow i dont think he would be a starting qb in the nfl. Lastly his ability in the redzone is horrible.....im not nearly as sold on him as so many others are. Im looking forward to this season seeing how he does with an even worse o-line but with the addition of a tall receiever

WOW, The reason Mathis numbers are just as good is because Freeneys being double and triple teamed most the time. Teams gameplan against Freeney if not he'll eat you alive the whole game. He's the fastest DE in the league you can't stop his rush without a double or triple team. The Colts don't ask him to stop the run they want him to sack the QB i don't know too many top DEs that are great against the run. To say Elis numbers will compare to Dilfers is just rediculous. Dilfer didn't have to do anything to win that SB his def. did it all. Eli will continue to get better and is far from a bum i think.

i disagree, yes he is one of the fastest defensive end in the game (idk julius peppers comes across as hella fast to me) and yes they do double team him and game plan against him but in the same token he is a target in the run game. Thats the same thing as targeting a corner because they blow coverage. Yes robert mathis doesnt get double teamed because of freeney but i think people view freeney as an elite DE even though he only does good on passing downs

and as far as im concerned, the defense won eli manning the super bowl as well

I want see how he performs when injuried, like his elbow or such. He hasn't had a serious injury yet.
I am not a Cowboys fan, neutral,
Sigh, Vince Young.. and I collect him.
The obvious choice, as well Reggie Bush.
Vernon Davis, got skills, personally think it is the dismal offense.

Underrated,: MJD, Fred Taylor, Fitzgerald and Boldin. D Mcallister, Warrick Dunn. Drew Brees.

i admit i'm a bit behind on this topic, so if this has already been said then it can be disregarded. however.......if you want to put Romo on the over-rated list that's fine, i won't debate it. to each their own. but at least make it for a logical reason. i mean seriously, what the hell kind of stupid reasoning is that? he's over-rated because he hasn't been injured? i guess Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Brett Favre are/were all over-rated as well, going by your crazy logic. i don't remember any of them playing on a busted elbow.......what a joke

I don't know if anyone has said this yet (im to lazy to look through all posts:lol: ) but David Harris! The man had over 100 tackles as a rc, and if it wasn't for Patrick Willis being a huge star he would be the star defensive player from his class at the moment. Also he went to Michigan, so he's automatically a beast!Big Grin

Also here are some more underrated players on my lions. Well I guess nobody pays attention to the lions so all their good players are underrated lol.
Ernie Sims
Shaun McDonald BIG TIME HE'S A BEAST!!!!!
Now im nervous to say this because u guys will say im on crack, but Jon Kitna. Everybody is like get that old hag outta here, and bring in Stanton. I want Stanton to have some starts next year but Kitna's not to bad of a QB. He had a 4,000 yard season. He had 60%+ completion percentage. I know people look at our sacks, but look at our o-lineman! There's a reason we selected a o-lineman in the first round. Lastly, people look at his interceptions. He has a mentality like Brett Favre, but doesn't have the talent.
