Ed, Shaq is past his prime - a shadow of his former self - only he can't accept it. This season was his worst season stat-wise - ever. Jamison is small-forward playing out of position. he's constantly mismatched against bigger/taller players. He can score, yes, but he's small-forward - not a power forward.

I got to agree with this and I am a major Shaq fan. He is more of a liability at this point in his career. When he could take the ball in the post and score at close to 60% FG you could tolerate his poor foul shooting and loose defense. Now other than a few spurts he hurts his team from lack of foot speed, and inability to hit foul shots. His lift is also way down from the past so his ability to Block shots is also down. On a team with two stars he could be the piece to plug the middle but that is about it.

As for Jamison, if he was so great he wouldn't be on his 4th team already. He is a decent scorer in the flow of the game, but you cannot go to him as a second option and expect him to get a basket when you really need it. Without a legit scoring threat alongside the superstar, it is too easy to concentrate defensive coverages.

what team in the league (besides the lakers) can Bron go to and be the #2 guy? i mean...let say if he goes to the celts...he clearly will be the #1 guy even with all the all-stars in that team. wether he goes to the worst team or to the best team in the league eventually he will be the #1 guy in that team. Now he can use a great #2 or #3 guy in his team to win a ship! The only way LeBron can be compared to Michael is how he makes the games exciting...just like Mike did in the good ol days!

Well a lot of people compared him to Jordan. And my facts are right, we are not talking about age, the discussion was about years in the NBA. Jordan won a championship in 1991, 7 years after being drafted and Lebron didn't (Lebron was drafted 7 years ago and still no championship). If you were not part of the previous discussion you will not understand where I come from. And believe me a lot of people consider Lebron better than Jordan.

didnt jordan have a few years of college ball also to fine tune a few of his skills. lebron came out of high school so i think age has a lot to do with it. another guy sat on the bench coming out of high school but has had a descent career. the fact is, lebron is still very young and like jordan in his first years of the NBA had no supporting cast. once lebron gets his, he will shine like jordan too. after all is said and done, i am sure lebron will have a few of jordan records.will he win as many championships? that as yet to be determined. i think he still has like 10+ years at least to do them in.
