I am even collecting the ink color variations, that were released by the players themselves(no sticker on the back I don't have the cards scan  , but I hope to do it!! For example Arizin official is in blue,
he released a bunch of them before the set was even released in black ink, most have inscriptions. I have only seen one in blue ink and one in black ink with no inscription that he released. Walton official in blue, I have one in black ink I have a Howell in Green, I have seen several. Also McGuire also has released some, the difference with this one is the place he placed the auto, the official is between new york and knickerbocker the unoffcial his name is above new york (don't know if the color ink is different since I haven't seen one in a a while) Issel has also released some(I need to check if different ink) Most of the variations I discover them, by luck. Since they seem to be released when people ask the former player for an auto in the mail. SO the seller's don't even mention the set's name when selling. I took a pic some time ago, I will look for it. |
