Looking for friendly advice
Over the past year I have restarted collecting after some 15yrs away. I have spent the money to have a nice restart and have been looking for a median to buy/sell/TRADE other then my LCS auction and e-bay(which I do not trust). Im hoping I found it here and am going to continue to enter cards and become involved for a couple months and see how it goes. What I'm hoping for advice with is shipping costs, insurance, % of BV to list cards for if in '1 touch' condition, etc. Any advice is welcome as this hobby has changed quite abit it seems with the internet and with memorabilia/autograph/print run cards. Thanks,Steve

Here's my take on the question. I don't think the Beckett site is what you are looking for. I have been collecting for 50 years now , had a store for 10 years, direct accounts with Topps and Upper Deck, and a Sportsnet member. So I know the business very well. People on this site
have a very inflated value of THEIR stuff. With only a couple of exceptions people will not trade for equal value. They want your best for their junk. If you ask for their good stuff they will say they
have lost that card or won't answer a trade request even though they initiated the trade. They must being looking for "suckers". I know it's everyone for themselves but some of us just want to trade
things we can't sell in our local for stuff we can. My advice is to stay away from the highest rated traders ,they seem to be worst. I have met a few decent traders here but nothing like I had hoped to meet.

Im kinda in the same boat with the OP, I used to collect in the early 90s and just started up again. The few trades I have had has been great.
