[0264 (road_runner_1964)]

Well since my Beckett article (haven't seen it yet), and seeing some others, I have ventured into the waters of an 18 card project.

"0264 (road_runner_1964)" is my project. Not only is the 18 card requirement of obtaining the necessary numbers or letters hard enough, I have also added specific requirements to complete. The goal is to collect only players from the teams in my sig: Packers, Bucks, Blue Jackets and Reds. Additional teams will include the Brewers (my A.L. team as a kid), Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeye players.

The first letter I received doesn't fit the above description, however it was a freebie from a Beckett member: mrtony39h. We initially tried to work a trade (prior to focusing on specific teams), but couldn't find anything to send in return. Well he PM'd and offer to send for free, since he is down to the last two letters of his project and understands the difficulty of making it happen. (I am waiting a letter in from a trade with harey_carey to send to him in return). Anyways........my freebie and other cards I have received for my project:

Obviously I like the idea! I just bought the "G" I needed to complete my last name. Fortunately, I have enough letters from my last name to work on my id, which I'll be using in my signature (I bought the "7" tonight). I'd rather have my id in my signature than my last name, but I'll display my last name at home.

I'll keep an eye out for stuff you need.

It is addictive, I picked up letter O tonight as well. Makes 10 of the 18 in hand or on the way.

Nice stuff! Now all you need to do is update your original post with the lettering in order!

I've got all but the "T" and the "3" in hand or on the way. My real problem is, the only "3" I keep seeing is the LeBron James Gold version for career points. I'm not sure I want to buy a $100+ card just for my project. I've got a Reds "O" coming in, and I really like their jersey lettering. Also got a Mets "M" in just today... another sweet card.

Yea, I have seen the Lebron "3"s out there. I am glad I don't have that in my sig or I would be tempted to purchase myself. Can't wait to see yours complete.
