I don't have any suggestions for trades at the lcs/shows, but why don't you just say "I prefer 1 for 1 trades" in you posts or sig?
And yeah the site is slow, but 10 min to get rid of trade offers and the mail that goes with them? Sounds like it is time to do dome computer maintenance.

The reason why anyone would give up 10-20 cards for one auto is simple. They're getting rid of cards they don't care for for something they do care for. IF it doesn't hurt to try and offer that many worthless cards in a trade, then why don't the trader who's giving up 10-20 cards ASK FIRST before offending anyone. To me, it's an insult. BUT beforehand, IF I were to trade a Sanchez auto, for example, I'd also state the terms "1 for 1" or "2 for 1" yadda yadda yadda.
Here's another example... I walk into a Mercedez dealership, with 6-8 Honda Civics resell value at $10,000 a piece and tell the dealer, "I'd like to trade these Honda Civics in for that shiny Mercedez, in fact, I'm giving you more than what that Mercedez is worth." I'm sure that I'll drive away in a Mercedez...
I'm not talking about PC's either. PC's are a different story. Aren't we all on here to BUILD OUR PC's while HELPING OTHERS BUILD THEIRS? How can it help anyone's PC to get rid of an auto BV 100 for 100 non auto base cards and inserts BV 1-2 a piece? That's completely selfish. Would anyone like to trade a Big Ben rookie auto card BV 400, for example, for 400 BV 1-2 a piece base cards and inserts? Clearly not.
I state, "FAIR MARKET VALUE." Even when someone wants to give me 5-10 cards BV over 100 be it autos, GU, and/or base and inserts for a BV 20 auto, I don't go and rip them off. It may be just me, but I don't feel comfortable knowing that I'll walk away ahead. I'd love to build my PC but not looking to destroy someone else's.

My turn. Some of us on here, me included, don't have a ton of money to spend on cards every day. We buy when we can and hope for the "Big Hit" for our PC or to trade. If we offer 10 $10.00 cards for a $100.00 card that is because that is what we have to offer. We are not trying to insult you. Calling us names is not the way to make friends. I recently traded $74.00 BV in cards for 1 $40.00 card because I wanted it. Did my trading partner get a better deal, yes. Did I care, No. We both got what we wanted. And that is the whole point. If both parties are in agreement, then good. if you only want to trade 1 for 1, or maybe 2 for 1, then that is your choice. But don't come on here and call us names, or talk down to us. Because if you do that, you will find you won't be able to make many trade. I'm willing to bet you, that when you started you tried to trade up at least once. We all have. There is no harm in asking. Most of the time the answer will be no, But every once in a while the answer might be yes.

If you trade by BV, a $100 card for 10 $10 cards works.

If you trade by SV, a $100 card for 10 $10 cards doesn't work.

If you don't want to trade down for quantity, just put it in your signature. Simple.

this topic is a complete waste of time... why would you even post this? nobody really cares what your stance on anything is. we're all here to have alot of fun. this is a hobby!!!! it's not like they're peddling at your door. i've only had it happen to me once and i cancelled the trade in 30 seconds. plus, why wouldn't the person give it a shot? it never hurts to ask.

bc everyone has an opinion on it. also, it got taken wrong and no one really read on to figure it out so you get a lot of the same type of comments on there. like BNIC said its just a type of person that NEVER does it one way or another and i just get annoyed by them always offering. its one thing if people go one way or the other sometimes, and do reasonable trades that are even, but some are just a little ridiculous to keep offering.
