yeah if you don't care enough to package the cards in a penny sleeve, top-loader, and wrapped up in something(Trade transaction or team bag) then in a BUBBLE MAILER, then you should not be trading in the first place. If someone takes the time to do all of this and you disrespect them by shipping in a vulnerable white envelope, you shouldn't be trading. And if the cards do get messed up while in a PWE, yes you do have to make it right, but what if you have nothing else the person wants? You will have to ship their cards back, pay the $1.50-2 they originally paid to ship your cards to you correctly. Wouldn't it just be easier to pay the $1.50 for a bubble mailer and DC in the first place?

In my opinion, yes. I use them if its only one card, and its lower value, I use them, and will continue to use them. Why trade for a $8 card and pay for the $2 for first class shipping and DCN, when you can find that same card on Ebay for less than that, and not have to give anything up.

And isnt it really my choice, if its damaged, I am responsible and would have to make it right. Want to hear opinions on this since I havent seen anything regarding it since I joined the website.

i dont use PLE anymore because i found that if you use the PAYPAL merchant services, and weigh your packages yourself (usually all are 1-2 oz unless its like 10 cards in cases). its actually CHEAPER to buy your postage this way because they will give you delivery confirm and mail it for $1.58 TOTAL anywhere in the country. the DC ends up costing you a mere .18 cents for peace of mind.

and YES the burden of proof and all of that is on YOU....so if you CHOOSE to use the PLE thats fine, but i can assure you YOU WILL END UP REPLACING SOMEONES CARDS.

also, the bubble mailers are like 40cents each at wal mart.....if you take your paypal shipping slip, and paste it OVER the address on bubble mailers that OTHER people have sent you.....you save a lot on bubble mailers as well.

ends up being cheap and saves YOUR OWN BUTT.....nevermind the other guy is happy.

I hate PWE's. I always use bubble mailers. I've traded singles worth $3.00 or less, and I always send in a penny sleeve, top loader inside a PWE folded tight and put in a bubble mailer. My reasoning for this is if someone wants a card I have its worth them getting it the same condition I send it out. By the way I hate tape in the top loader. I put the top loader in a PWE and fold it over tight. This keeps the card from sliding out of the hard case during shipping. it also make the envelope thick enough so it has to be hand sorted. No machine sorting. Less damage.

I bought a knowshon Moreno Autograph off ebay and paid 3.50 for shipping and when I received it in the mail it was in a plain white envelope. Of course it was creased, and I had to fight to get my money back, I had to go through paypal to get it, because the seller said it was my problem. I SAY NOOOOO TO WHITE ENVELOPES. I use bubble mailers and I would hope that people would do whatever it takes to package the cards securely. Just my opinion

True, but you still don't use PWEs.

Contrary to whatever they say, eBay and PayPal hold them responsible.  It says so in the listings.  Getting the card to you in the condition promised is part of their job as a seller.

Sometimes you can get a good deal and get like 100 bubblemailers for like $15. To me it is the way to go for safety.
