RE: Do you remember your first big pull?
wow i love this thread, my first huge pull came in 1991-92 i think with a sick Pat Faloon hologram card when i was ten. I thought it was the coolest card ever, and still have it in great shape too! i think it books around a couple bucks now if im lucky.
I stopped collecting for a few years after 1992, except for a few random packs and mcdonald's cards. Until 2005-06 when i couldnt resist the Crosby buzz. i drove myself to the card store a picked up 2 boxes of 05-06 series 1. by the time i got the cards to my truck i couldnt wait any longer, i ripped into the first box, Very first pack... BAM Sid the Kid YG. of course i tried my luck over and over that year. i did manage to get a pretty decent Crosby RC collection. After another hiatus lasting until this year (i did try some 10-11 product looking for Hall and eberle, with no real big hits) This year i had a frenzy again, Chasing RNH this year has been full of some pretty good hits. i will list a few in order that we pulled them -11-12 Artifacts Jonathan Toews patch/patch Auto spectrum 1/3 - This was the Nicest 2 patches i had evr pulled by far aswell as the lowest print run and of a great player, also this is the card that got my wife almost as addicted to cards as i am, as she is the one who opened the pack. 11-12 Limited got me my first ever 1 of 1 a John Carlson Manufactorers Mark 11-12 SP Game used yielded our highest BV card(of cards with a BV on beckett) with the Orr/Bourque dual auto sorry for the drag on story but this thread brought back great memories PRIMARY PC:Ryan Nugent Hopkins 83/591 listed cards Collecting All Oilers GU/Auto/SN cards 2011-12 Artifacts Jonathan Toews collection (32) also building sets http://www.beckett.com/forums/thread-1488853.html |
