2010 Bowman Chrome 5 Case Break and Contest Thread
Case #5, Box #12

Refractor /500: Ryan Wiegand 1
Blue Refractor /150: Allen Craig 7 LAST SRL #041/150
Topps 100 /999: Anthony Gose 4
Auto: Jhan Marinez 8

Comments: Nobody picked Jhan Marinez, so I went to the serial number of the final numbered card pulled, which was the Blue Refractor of Allen Craig. Two posters guessed 039 as the final serial number, but johnxgodfree was there first. Congratulations, johnxgodfree! I will send you a PM with details.
Grade: D

Case comments: The Chapman base auto was the case hit, and only one of the 12 boxes had value that clearly exceeded cost -- and not by much. This was the worst of five poor cases. I'll have more to say about this overall break in another thread, but it was a disaster. No colored prospect autos in 60 boxes is rarer than a 1 in 100 event, assuming the insert odds are correct. I estimate that I lost over $800 in value with this purchase. Prices have been in freefall, and for good reason. Under no circumstances should you pay more than $46 delivered per box for this product.
Case Grade: D |
