There's one more ... I went back for his funeral in 2004, and when I was there at the house after the services, my grandma — despite her grief, obviously — brought out a small bag.

She said, "I guess he forgot to give these to you, but I know he was saving them for you."

Inside were a photo and signed puck of former Red Wing Gary Bergman, who was a pretty good defenseman in the 60s and 70s.

Guess he had one more for me.
