Shoeboxes or Plastic Sleeves
Shoeboxes or Plastic Sleeves
I have 11 years of complete Topps Baseball sets, from 1969-1980, which I plan to save. They have sat nicely for 35 years in shoeboxes in my parent's chilly basement-- without any damage, etc.
In the near future I plan to pull, conditionally grade, and place each card in a plastic sleeve (not multi-card pages, but individual sleeves)-- However I am having reservations about the cards sticking to the plastic if the humidity in the basement changes or I move them to another storage site.
Is it a good idea to use sleeves on EVERY card?
Is that "over-kill"-- maybe I should just "sleeve" the stars?
Are there other drawbacks to the sleeves?
Or is it just as effective to leave them in the shoeboxes?
Thanks.
