What is the story behind that Steve Young patch? Looks like some comemorative patch of sorts.

Those Alex Smith patches...also what is the story behind them? Are they made from replica jersey's? I don't see any stitching, just perforated screen printed areas?

no it isnt common at all.. but a few players in this set (Jim Kelly too) do..
my guess is that Donruss bought these Game used jerseys from a collector,not the player.. why own an auto GU jersey of yourself?
