Need recommendations and opinions
The wife and I plan on going up to Michigan for a family vacation since we haven't most of our family in almost three years. Well, there are two trade centers I normally go to for card shows and thank heavens, one of them is having a card show on the weekend we will get up there. I will only be able to get a booth for two days though. I'm not going to name specifics because that's against <a href="http://www.beckett.com/tos/">TOS</a> on the boards (which I'm hoping everyone is getting familiar with). But if you live in Michigan, and would like to meet at the show, PM me and I'll give you details.

Anyways, the opinions I need are whether or not it will be worth getting a booth and trying to sell most of the cards I have for trade/sale. Most, and I mean at least 85% of the cards I have for trade/sale are base ranging from 1989-2010. I have 99.9% of the cards I have available already in my For Trade folders. If you guys and gals have a free minute, please go look at my folders and tell me whether or not you think it's worth getting a booth. I'm not trying to make a mountain of cash, but I figured it'd help clean inventory, it's in Michigan so I might be able to help my Pistons PC, and a few other things. What sucks is I don't have a laptop so I won't be able to access Beckett, do not want to print out the 20,000+ needs for sets and my Pistons PC, and if someone wants to trade I won't be able to see BV (I know, trading isn't all about BV, just don't want to get ripped).

What I need recommendations on is IF I do decide to go to the show and get a booth, I'm not sure of the best ways to sell at a card show. I'm going to put the GU, AU, Inserts and such out on display (well as many as will fit a 8 ft table) in sleeves and top loaders, but I don't want to pull too many cards out as I'll have to put them back. My OCD wants my cards in order chronologically and alphabetically, so I don't want to pull out 500 cards and only sell 50 and have to put 500 back. Should I print (a lot of ink and paper though) out lists of the cards I have available and have a couple lists laying around. Should I have lists of teams, players, and from what sets? Any ideas would be helpful.

Mind you, this isn't a huge regional card show or anything, happens almost monthly and BGS doesn't go there (oh how I wish they did), but it does draw a good crowd of collectors. I'm also thinking about trying to sell the Jordan Mini Jersey AU I have, but because the BGS slab is split down the side, I am not sure if I should. Anyways, thanks for the opinions and advice. Smile
