"Am I [mad] about it? Yes," Steinbrenner added. "I've got my pitchers running the bases, and one of them gets hurt. He's going to be out. I don't like that, and it's about time they address it. That was a rule from the 1800s."

expensive starting pitchers have no business hitting anymore.
the national league is the only league in professional baseball that doesnt use a DH.

The national league is the way baseball is supposed to be played if a pitcher can't run the bases without getting hurt then he has some issues.

As has been the case and will be the case. The NL fans will tell you that their league is the true league as it requires skilled pitchers on both sides of the plate (yes, bunting is a skill) and is the league that requires more stragety. The AL fans will tell you that its stupid for the P to hit, and thus, the impass continues. I think it makes it kinda fun that you have 2 different leagues/games under the same league, makes it different from any other sport.
