And making fun of a typo from two days ago is getting personal and kinda creepy, stop following me to troll and start trouble. |

After getting rung up on a poor call earlier I don't blame him. I didn't see the end of the game, so I can't comment on that pitch specifically, but from what it sounds like is that the ump has been calling that pitch a strike all night. He's decided to give the pitch a little bit off the outside corner of the plate. Both teams have to adjust knowing that the ump is giving the pitchers that pitch. I think this is more of the ump staying consitent, rather than trying to make up a call. If he's decided to give that pitch to the pitchers tonight, he's gotta stay consistent. As a hitter, you gotta know the umps zone and protect accordingly. |

Early in the game when Beckett got a few calls, the announcer even said this ump is a pitchers ump and the hitters will have to adjust. |

Bingo.
I have no problem with the pitch to Lowell. Yes, it was a ball, but that call was being made all night both ways. It is the hitters responsibility to make the adjustments. You come up with the craziest things to start arguments with... I saw A-Rod grab his crotch 23 times tonight. How big of a suspension is indecent public pubic activity??? BostonNut Wrote::roll: That doesn't make any sense, if Lowell spit in the umps face he could face a major suspension, remember Alomar. In some states it is considered assault because of possible transfer of certain diseases. Your analogy makes no sense. |
