Beckett racing 2009 price guide.
Hi Riggs29

Here is the picture of this car and box,It is an aerocoupe car and has different paint, decals than the 1987 Aerocoupe, this car came in a Action 1985 monte carlo red box from 1994.

I looked at the item numbers that you sent and the first is a 1985 Wrangler #3 monte carlo notchback (Blue Decklid) clear window car. The second is a 1985 Wrangler #3 monte carlo notchback(Blue Decklid) bank. The car I was referring to has the aerocoupe window in the rear window and has the black/red Goodwrench decal across the decklid instead of the yellow Wrangler on the rear Blue Decklid car or the blue Wrangler decal on the rear decklid of the Yellow Decklid car. Both of these cars were produced in 1994/1995 year by Action.

Unfortunately Action produced alot of cars mid/years and made changes to models different between the clear window cars compared to the bank cars for same model years. And it is common to have the same car in two different boxes because Action sent out same cars labeled the same in several different boxes so it is almost impossible to identify the cars just by the box it came in if seperated.
I have not seen a diecast pricing guide that had all the different models and variations of models yet. I really don't think that there is anyone still around at Action that could really tell you all the correct models produced and the differences in them absolutely.

I would like to know about the 1985 Wrangler monte carlo Aerocoupe listed in 2008 beckett because even though it is unusal for a Dale Earnhardt Wrangler Aerocoupe to be anything other than the Action 1995 release 1987 Wrangler monte carlo Aerocoupe CWC it is possible this car was a Action 1994 release aerocoupe prior to the populiarity of the Action 1995 released" The Pass in the Grass" 1987 monte carlo Aerocoupe CWC car.

I know of cars that Dale didn't like the looks of and had Action remake the following year differently than the first release and since this is the first year production car for Action maybe they changed to the 1987 model year clear window in 1995 and changed the decals to match the 1987 car more precisely instead of  using the same paint for both the 1985 notchback and the aerocoupe in 1994?  General Motors produced the Aerocoupe in the 1985/6 model year and this would have meant that the car would have been available to stockcar racing prior to 1987.

The average response from most will be that this is a 1987 Aerocoupe bank car. But if you compared the paint, decals and the wrangler mustang on the hood 1985 vs 1987 you will see it is just like the 1985 notchback car with the Aerocoupe body.

This question began when comparing both the 1987 Wrangler aerocoupe and this aerocoupe side by side and then finding the 1985 Wrangler monte carlo aerocoupe listed on page 152, 2nd column, 3rd from bottom listed in the 2008 beckett Diecast pricing guide.

Anyone that knows for sure i.e. has both cars is highly invited to comment on this question.

Beckett racing 2009 price guide.
Instead of complaining about what the book didn't cover, change or add, why not just get an online price guide?  I don't even buy the books or magazines anymore.  There is so much more listed on the website and it only costs $6 for a month.  If Beckett knows it exists and it's not brand new, they have it listed (although there's not always a value listed). But if you can't find something listed, you are already on the site and can ask someone, as I am fixing to do.  I would like to know why most of the 2008 diecasts still are not listed too (on the website).  I also want to know what the difference is in the ERR and COR versions of 1991 Maxx McDonalds Mark Martin #2 card. The website has no description of what the error is and no pictures of the cards.  If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Always looking for: Ozzie Smith/Stan Musial/Lou Brock/STL Cardinals, NFL-CAR/GB/NE and NASCAR-Jimmie Johnson/Mark Martin

dosn't sound like the on-line price guides are much more of a help than the printed versions. I have seen multiple threads about complaints of stuff not listed, ect...
