WHAT QB TO INVEST IN?

I would look into Kevin Kolb, Matt Leinart or Carson Palmer. Palmer isnt selling real hot right now, but IMO he is the next best QB in the league after Manning, Brady and Big Ben. Leinart could blow up and Kolb just getting a start would make his prices explode. Brady Quinn has cooled too and will be a starter somewhere in the next few years.

Long shots: Brian Brohm, Sam Keller

Very curious as to how Big Ben is on the list before Romo. I just don't see Big Ben in the same class as Manning and Brady. But, I do believe that Romo isn't a good place to START investing, but if he wins the SB like they very well could, then his stuff could easily shoot up to where Bradys stuff was because the huge fanbase of the Cowboys. I do think Kolb, and Leinart are definately good investments, too. Palmer depends on who he has around him. That team is in such havoc. If Ocho Cinco doesn't play for them, they have nothing else for Palmer. No running game to speak of (although I do like Irons), no big time receiver but Housh, especially with the loss of Henry (I think they lost Henry at least..). Plus, they have one of the worst defenses there are. I do like him, though. Just can't see him winning games. If he was put a decent situation, he could be great, though.

Yeah, but that doesnt mean they wont draft or sign anyone down the road. This is just year one for Mr.Flacco.

That's definately true, but he needs more than one or two players to turn that franchise around from where it's heading. They were one of the better teams a couple of years back, but with the aging Ray Lewis and an their best Olineman retiring, It could take Flacco a couple of drafts to do anything great. But, he has a great QB frame. Big, tall, and has decent mobility in the pocket.

Definitely a long shot with Sam Keller signing an Arena league contract.

invest in staubach or aikman, forget Romo. Now is the time to pick up the cowboys HOF'ers instead of whats hot right now. Who knows, Tony could tear an ACL and be out forever this coming season.

I think Palmer is young enough to wait on a bit of talent. Kenny Irons is supposed to be really good if he is healed up. That should help. 85 isnt going anywhere, Housh is an amazing receiver. Their main problem is their pathetic defense. Everyone considered them contenders only a few seasons ago.

And since you asked about Romo vs. Roethlisberger, I looked up some facts

1. Ben threw 11 INTs vs Romos 19 INTs
2. Ben threw for only 4 fewer TDs
3. Ben has a 104 QB Rating vs Romos 97 rating
those are regular season stats

Steelers also have a more balanced game and can pound the run if needed.

Opinions - Romo makes silly decisions and wings it too much. Romo has better receivers to work with than Big Ben. I think Romo misidentifies coverages from time to time. Romo moves too much in the pocket.

just my opinions

Haha, very justified opinions. But, the records were 13-3 compared to 10-6. Plus, that's what makes Romo extremely exciting to watch. Definately a fans QB. I don't watch Roethlisberger too much, so I can't really say anything about his play. Saw a game or two. Not fantastic stats, and not necessarily fun and exciting to watch, but he definately knows how to bullet that ball in there.

Trust me, I would rather see Romo do better than Ben, being a Colts fan . Romo is good and fun to watch, I guess I just dont take him seriously yet. Romo is the closest I have seen to Favre which is a good thing, he just doesnt have that mystique yet.

It isn't just about one year.
Ben has proved himself year in year out. Plus he has one thing Romo doesn't, a Super Bowl ring.

Romo has proved himself a great deal for the 2 years he has played. He came from nowhere and stunned everybody. Ok, ok, ok. I honestly am getting sick of the Steelers fans bringing up the ring. First off, Roethlisberger didn't have too much to do with the win. The WR had more TD passes then Big Ben did. Their running game did pretty good, and their defense only allowed 10 points.
