Title says it all...I'm transferring to U of Mi in winter and that's where the Winter Classic is this year. I just looked at ticket prices...DANG! All that to sit in a football stadium not near the ice AND freeze my butt off?!?! IS IT WORTH IT?!?!?!?

Once in a lifetime experience, in my opinion.

I went to the Crunch vs Senators outdoor game and it was awesome. It's a completely different atmosphere than a regular, indoor, game.

i would say yes, if you got the opportunity to go to the game, especially if its a team you like, then do it.

I went to the Cold War at Spartan Stadium in 2001... awesome experience. Although, I didn't pay near what you will have to for tickets

I would say absolutely. I went here in Buffalo in 2008 and Ann Arbor in 2010 for the Big Chill Michigan v Michigan St.
I'm going to at least 2 this year, Rochester Amerks v Lake Erie Monster in Rochester in Deccember and the Winter Classic as well and would love to venture out to Vancouver for the Heritage Classic.

I would go, if I could afford it. Might be Alfredsson's last year! And, it's a pretty awesome experience (I, too, got to go to the Cold War in E.L.).
