Entirely OT: But has Anyone else here
Switched to Windows 8, and realize how much it sucks?
No Start button, no Shutdown button, no restart or log off button, you have to go through 4 different steps to do any of those, or create your own (if you need to know how ask, and I'll tell....
Then to have the start program screen, a desk top screen and another program screen because the main start screen only list like junk programs....
No wonder the Head idiot of Windows quit right after it was released....

Windows 8 was mainly created for tablet/touchscreens. I don't know what you're using it on, but I was informed not to upgrade to it unless I had those features on my laptop.

I just bought a brand new Toshiba laptop, couldn't get one with win 7 or xp3, all they have now is win 8 64bit, and most programs are only made for 32 bit

I'm sure there will be an update soon to fix your problems, always stay away from new OS until you know the bugs are worked out

Not exactly easy to do when it is the only OS being installed in new items...

I have not, using a netbook with Windows 7 starter, the wife has Windows 7 64bit on her own Toshiba laptop and her workstation.
