RE: Make group breaks possible
Who from Beckett said it? Unless I'm overlooking it, I don't see anything in the TOS saying it can't be done.

RE: Make group breaks possible
back when beckett folks actually used to roam the boards, the "liability issue" was the reason given. the reasoning isnt in the TOS, but the rule is ("In addition, buys and group buys (splitting cases) are not allowed on the forums.")
seriously, this has been discussed ad nauseum through the years. Project Cupid, March 9th: raised 17k+ for cancer research. 60k over the past 4 years

Ah, that would explain why my searches didn't turn anything up, I wasn't calling them buys/group buys. ![]() I don't know, just doesn't make sense to me. I guess the liability excuse would work/make sense if they didn't allow trades as well. In that regard, I'd be interested in knowing what the liability issue is since they allow trading to happen and don't do anything to protect people (can't imagine how they would anyway) even though they require people to use their trade tools. I'm curious in that aspect since I like to know the ins and outs behind something and not just a blanket word given. But similar to what you said, there aren't any Beckett people that roam the boards frequently to answer these questions. I haven't been here "through the years" so my bad if I haven't seen it discussed "ad nauseum". |

(i think one was "ebaywatcher", but that one was short-lived) but ive been on beckett one way or another for 8-9 years now. though i only started posting on the forums in the past 3-4 Project Cupid, March 9th: raised 17k+ for cancer research. 60k over the past 4 years

I think eveyone should be comfortable with the person who breaks. I watch alot of these breaks on youtube. My buddies friend does them. Ive always wanted to get in on one. Even the mystery packs sound cool. Use a site like Random.org to pick out the spots and such. i think us northeast ohio guys could get together and split the boxes or hits and open them live while everyone is present. I had so much fun with that as none of my friends collected past 14-or 15 and I completely stopped during college other than throwing a few cards on the bay for boozin money. Now that im 30 and engaged with kids i have no social life anymore and other than golf, this is about the most enjoyable thing i can do in my free time. I did one case break on the board when i was a member of the bccg football group and we just did the break thru instant message. Anyone reading this, if u are interested in splitting bowman chrome cases, hit me up. I am the resident super collector of David Wright.
