I got my email saying my graded cards have been shipped however I dont have a tracking number, can you help me so I can be there to sign!!! thanks!

I see no order in the system yet for userid "808love". I do see 2 orders in the right time from for people with your real name at 2 different email addresses. PM me the details of exactly what name and email address you put on your order.

We know the problem. Allow me to summarize.

1. Grading department has new software.
2. New software stores data in new database.
3. Email is sent when order is entered into the system, and when order is completed (tracking number not assigned at this point as the order is in the hands of the warehouse).
4. Process has been for customers to be able to use the lookup feature on the grading web page to lookup order status (link included in emails from old software) and get their tracking number.
5. Lookup feature on grading web page looks at old database, therefor no order after Dec 13 is able to be looked up right now through the web site.

Solutions:

1. Add an adidtional outgoing email to the new grading software that goes out as soon as the tracking # gets updated

OR

2. Re-write the grading web page and lookups to use the new database.


Solution #1 I have just emailed the developers about asking if it can be done.

Solution #2 is already on the to-do list right after some changes to the new grading software are complete.

Found it. Email address on grading order is not the same as the email address on your account here, so looking up 808love didn't find it. It shipped on the 6th. I've PM'd you the tracking #.

Thanks - very useful. I have some feedback.

Step #3 is what I suspected. My order I did a few months ago I received the email that the order was finished on night of 20th day yet I couldn't get a tracking number for about 5 days. If it was my business I would not say that the order is completed until it has actually been mailed and has a tracking number assigned. Shipping and handling stuff would all be done on or prior to the guarantee date. It makes no difference to customer whether the cards are in a warehouse, on somebody's desk, or in Zimbabwe, fact is Beckett has not passed the ball until they have a tracking number in hand.

I didn't say that it didn't get shipped out the same day. I said that when the order is completed by the grading staff the email gets sent out. Then the order goes to the warehouse for shipping. Order could finish grading at noon. Email sent by system at 12:01, order in warehouse at 12:05, order has shipping label attached and grading software updated with a tracking # by 12:30, and then fedex picks it up at 6PM. The problem is that the tracking # doesn't exist until after the shipping label has been printed, and that's after the email goes out.
