I love vintage cards and will buy and barter for any vintage over a modern card anyday. Curious what my fellow collectors think about my purchase? What I got was a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth RC #53. It is BVG graded at a 5 (excellent) and I had to drop $2,000 for it. To me it was worth it to have in my collection! Anybody have an opinion as to if it was a good deal?

I'd be curious to see a scan/photo.
A BVG 2.5 #53 recently sold on ebay for just over $2,600.
Really...interesting. I'm not sure how to attach an image? I purchased this card from am guy who was about to have his first child and was sailing cards off from his collection. I'll try and see if I can figure out how to attach an image-
Just upload it to photobucket and once it's in there, copy the [IMG] code that applies to that card and paste it into the box when you're typing a message here.

Myself I've never seen a Ruth RC before so can't wait for a pic. For the money you paid for a grade 5 I would consider that a good investment.

Thanks hilfiger1975, I'm very happy with it. I tried uploading an image to photbucket last night, hopefully I'll have better luck today.
Really nice pickup. Can't wait to see the card. You can't go wrong with vintage card, so besides being a good investment, it is a great addition to your PC. I am jealous.
Looking forward to seeing it.
