2011 Topps Series 1 Box Break
Just my opinion but the leather name plate should not qualify as a relic in 2011 Topps. Its purely a rip off. you can't even give them away on eBay.

That's how I felt about the Bat Barrels from 2010 Update. No doubt there will be people trying to complete the set on here, so I think your best bet is to trade

You might not be able to give them away on eBay, but you can give me all of your Yankee ones. It'll be tough, but I'll make the sacrifice.

I collect Yankees
I trade based on BV, not sale price.

RE: 2011 Topps Series 1 Box Break
I like the bat barrells much better than these leather cards. Although I'd prefer they be something the player actually used somehow. But whatever.

Players - Twins (Except and Capps and Puckett), Andrew McCutchen, Heyward, Austin Jackson Posey, Lincecum (Baseball)

Price, Subban, Roy, Richard (Hockey)

Do Not Trade list - daytonator

***Single card and some two base card trade will be packaged securely and sent in a PWE. ****

RE: 2011 Topps Series 1 Box Break
I agree that it's a bit sneaky/underhanded calling them a 'relic'.

But I liked the Bat barrel cards, and I like the nameplate cards. Heck I even like most of the manufactured patches. For me it's more about the look of the card than whether or not it's actually a "game used" item.

I agree...and if it means so much to someone that its "real", that's where high-end stuff comes into play. For regular Topps, the manufactured stuff is the perfect fit.
