I havent peeked at a baseball beckett in years. I'm almost afraid to ask but can anyone tell me what the Maddux, ARod, Jeter and Pujols in my bucket are going for???

Last I checked was a few years ago and they were all high end, as was the Griffey which has been in the $80-120 range since he was a RC.

I saw that on the news at the bar on Sat night. Tragic. I'm glad we dont get youtube here at work because that was tough enough to watch on the news.

Well, the fact of the matter is that explosions like that happen all the time in that sport. But the guys are programmed to stop the cars or at least slow them down. I have a feeling that he was knocked out by this explosion and didn't even try to slow it down.

There is a major problem in that sport because the cars keep getting exponentially fast and the tracks have neglected to spend the money to expand the run out areas...

In this case, I don't think it would have made a huge difference, but it might have...

I have a tire from his car autographed by him. The sport is filled with just regular guys doing what they love and it is really easy to talk to them in the pits and get autographs and pictures...

That is one bad mutha - shutcho mouth. As of now Ive never pulled nor bought a Melo auto. If I ever did itd have to be from his rookie year and be in his Orangemen jersey.

Here's one that would meet my qualitfications. I'm even sure how much that sucker goes for but I'm guessing its up there. Just a non-#d auto from this year usually runs you $30 or more.
