The distributors talked, and Upper Deck listened.<br><br>
Acting on discussions with top distributors in January, UD has produced a 30-card update series for 2006-07 Flair Showcase.<br>

According to a company source, the cards will be released in three-card Showcase Rookies packs. Each distributor/dealer will receive one random pack for each box of Showcase they purchased from Upper Deck. Upper Deck has requested that these packs be used as giveaways only. It is suggested that collectors return to their original point of purchase with proof of purchase to pick up the appropriate number of packs.<br><br>
Upper Deck officials hope this one-of-a-kind offer will placate those collectors who complained about the lack of rookie content in the early-season release.<br><br>
"Unfortunately, most of the rookies didn't skate until this product launched so this is a way for collectors to get these guys for their sets," our source stated.<br><br>
The Showcase Rookies cards are numbered from 301 to 330. Because of the unusual distribution, it is questionable whether they'll be recognized as true RCs.<br><br>
The cards are not serial numbered and no production run will be announced. It is anticipated that the cards will be available in late March or early April.<br><br>
