I have a suggestion, on how to improve hockey on the international stage. For one season, try "trading" teams with the KHL in Russia.
Say, Edmonton Oilers for CSKA Moscow. Edmonton plays in the KHL out of Moscow, and CSKA Moscow plays in the NHL out of Edmonton. I sent this suggestion to NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman for his opinion via Twitter.
