2016 Topps 100 Years at Wrigley Field Cards - raylon - 02-27-2016
If the Cubs at Wrigley Field this year is now 102 years, Why is Topps now honoring or just now celebrating this year (2016) when Wrigley turned 100th in 2014 ???

I had to look it up but the stadium itself was built in 1914 however the Cubbies didn't play their first game there until 2016.

The Cubs are milking it again as well. In 2014 they had a whole party of the century, party like it's 1914 thing going on at Wrigley, with one special 100 years of Wrigley day. They gave away a Chi Feds jersey, had people dressed in 1914 dress, the whole nine. Plus they had all kinds of stuff you could buy with the 100 years logo.
I saw on the promo schedule when it was released they are doing the exact same thing this year for the CUBS 100 years at Wrigley on July 6. I'm guessing there will not be a short supply of a different 100 years logo on everything imaginable as well...
That said, I'm all for it! Keep raking in the cash to pay for these young guys in a few years!
