not even 24 hours into a 10 day auction, even with chipping, card is up to 60 grand plus

That is just sick, I hope he required pre-registering on eBay so the final bidder doesn't back out. I can't even fathom my response if I pulled that card out of a pack.

Wow this is just insane! It is up to 75k now. This is for sure an auction I will be paying attention to.
This is where I just do not understand cards. I am a Jordan collector so I know how rare this card is and how sought after this card is. I fully understand that. But to want to spend that much on a card that is that chipped up is confusing to me. I also cannot understand how someone has 75k (if not higher since it still has 9 days left basically) laying around that they want to spend on a card.
How much would insurance be on a card like this? haha

@nickm1123 I completely agree. I looked 1/2 hour ago and it was $71k. I just can't fathom the value here. Granted it's extremely rare, but it's 1 of 100 ... but to each his own I suppose

Do you the back story about how/when your Facebook "friend" got the box, did he have it unopened since 97-98 hidden in a closet?

it was on ebay. he took it down to sell privately...it's coming back from psa on weds.
he bought a box from "a guy" in minnesota (i think for 300 dollars)
