Break the case? - dylan1018 - 06-14-2013

I have a question about removing a card from a BGS graded case. I picked up a PC card recently that was already graded. Overall grade is a 7.
SUBS:
Centering 9.5
Edges 9.5
Corners 9
Surface 6

With 3 solid subs I am considering removing it from the case and trying to clean the surface and resubmit it. I don't see any creases or printing lines which leads me to believe there are fingerprints or smudges that could be carefully removed.

Anyone ever tried doing this? All opinions or experience stories welcome.

Well you would be taking a chance trying to clean it, but I have removed them from the cases before.

Do you see prints or smudges on it while it's in the case?

I don't see anything! Lol. I have inspected it at every angle I can but don't see anything wrong with the surface. Which is probably why I'm a welder and not a card grader.

I'd definitely crack it and rub it down with a microfiber cloth with those sub grades. I've done so in the past with great results on PC Cards and will not submit without a quick once over. I've turned 7s to 9s by carefully removing random crap that was stuck to cards I've received.

That is the direction I'm leaning. Thanks for the input.
