Long shot/Advice - onoxxxregretso - 05-28-2013 Hey guys I know this is a long shot, but I wanted to ask here first. I have an abundance of early to mid 90's stuff. As in 7 full or almost full 90-91 Score, 8 full to almost full sets of 94-95 Pinnacle and SP plus a ton of UD and Score from different years. Is there anyone interested in anything from that time? It's all in my org. I need to clear up some space and I'm organizing everything and realizing how much I have that I don't want. The second part - what do you guys do with unwanted cards. I don't want to just throw them away but I don't know of anywhere in my area who takes cards to give out to kids or anything. I've seen them at Salvation Army before so I guess that's an option, but I really don't want to just toss them. I'm also going to post on Facebook and see if any of my friends on there want them. I have a lot of teammates from men's leagues with young children so I figured that's worth a shot as well. Thanks. RE: Long shot/Advice - rvelligan - 05-28-2013 Check with a local kid's hospital or YMCA to see if they accept cards as a donation. Also the local rink as you suggested might be an option. RE: Long shot/Advice - greg2424 - 05-28-2013 I could be wrong but I don't think kids are really interested in hockey cards that feature players that are no longer in the league. At least that is my experience with my nephews. I have seen 90's cards at Salvation Army so thats always a better option than just tossing them. Thanks to those of you who responded. RE: Long shot/Advice - bguzowski16 - 05-31-2013 I have seen some at garage sales. I've seen young kids get really excited for cards (older ones too). Put like 100 cards in a bag for $1.00 or $2.00. RE: Long shot/Advice - wickabee - 05-31-2013 I'll take any Trevor Linden... RE: Long shot/Advice - onoxxxregretso - 06-01-2013 Well I want to move more than just one player at a time, but I have these Linden cards... 1990-91 Pro Set #299 Trevor Linden 1990-91 Score #32 Trevor Linden 1990-91 Upper Deck #256 Trevor Linden 1991-92 OPC Premier #77 Trevor Linden 1991-92 Score Canadian English #8 Trevor Linden 1991-92 Upper Deck #97 Trevor Linden TC 1991-92 Upper Deck #174 Trevor Linden 1994-95 Pinnacle #8 Trevor Linden 1994-95 SP #122 Trevor Linden RE: Long shot/Advice - bonnev659 - 06-01-2013 Have you tried? http://Commons4Kids.org I know they helped me when I got a ton of stuff and I was able to donate to a place somewhat close to me... I love the 90's stuff but space is a big reason why i dont pick up bulk lots anymore like I use to (and also $ too) hope that helps |
