Authentication Question - TBarn291 - 03-24-2013

I am thinking about buying an autographed news paper, but it was signed in person and there is no COA just the sellers word. I am going on good faith but I would like to get it authenticated after I purchase it. I have never gone through this process before and am not even sure where to begin. I was thinking PSA but have never dealt with them on anything and didn't even know if I could send the a News Paper? Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

Well I won the item. I am afraid there is something I am missing because I can't believe how cheap I got this. I won for $16.49 + 4.99 Shipping. It is from what appears to be a very reputable seller he guarantees it will pass authentication.

all I can say is that newspapers are extremely hard to preserve. they are printed on cheap paper that isn't meant to last more than a week. my september 11th newspaper that i had put into a case has yellowed.

Thanks for the info, that makes a lot of sense. I suppose for the price I can live with its deterioration. I still would like to know where I should go for authentication?

I would suggest getting it laminated after you get it authenticated. Probably would help preserve it more. Just an idea. For 20 bucks you cant go wrong. And i would go psa.

PSA will authenticate everything lol literally lol I contacted them once cause I had a piece of Larry Birds HS basketball court signed and they were more than willing. Once it's authenticated, you need to contact a paper conservator, they can help walk you through the best ways to store and display it
