Are you sending damaged cards out in trades? Moderator contact - floydtown - 01-26-2013 12:53 PM

Recently there has been a influx of trades where obviously damaged cards are being sent out in trades. Some of these cards have creases, dents, dings on all corners, bad chipping, etc.

A trade is not completed until both sides are happy and if your trade partner has told you he is not happy with the condition of the cards you sent, then you need to swap back or work something else out with him. I will treat this the same as a bad trader who never sent.

Before you package up and send your cards look them over and think to yourself, would I accept this card in its present condition? and DISCLOSE any damage you see.

Members should be leaving negative feedback on those who refuse to fix trades where they sent damaged cards but with the mods unable to edit feedback I understand the reluctance. Please try to resolve it with the other trader 1st but if unable to contact a mod before posting call out threads or leaving a negative.

Please try to resolve it with the other trader 1st and if unable to come to an agreemant, then contact a mod for assistance. Don't post call out threads or leave a negative without talking to the other trader and a mod.

We do have the ability to place tags under usernames and are doing that now with MUST SEND FIRST tags and will start tagging for this as well if it comes to that. We would prefer it be handled among those involved 1st.

Finally, if you have an issue with a trader for whatever reason please contact a mod before putting that trader on blast

Once I sent a card to someone that had some edging that I didn't notice and they refuse to trade with me ever since. I now scrutinize my cards carefully before they go out. I do get cards with corners dings every now and then, but I let them slide since usually I am trading with everything marked (8). I will speak up if I have a card with more than a ding or when I receive one with multiple issues. Happy Trading Smile

I just learned my lesson with this. Thanks for being understanding WT. I now scrutinize my stock even more diligently because of it.

This is why I ask for scans front and back of the cards I am trading for, I scan all my cards front and back so should you especially if your trading it to someone they should know what they are getting. If they don't have a scanner than maybe they need to send 1st? Only my opinion!

I've had 2 well respected traders on the forum send sub-par damaged cards. Being a nice guy, I really don't want to give back feedback since I'd assume it wasn't intentional. Frustrating to say the least!

well respected traders can make mistakes too BUT the difference is they will do whatever to make it right after the other trader brings it up.

Aprobgrovy is sending out damaged cards. I just left him negative feedback after waiting almost six weeks for him to fix the trade and in turn he leaves me negative feedback. If you read his positive feedback there are many occasions where the other trader makes mention of how he had to fix the trade. I think he should have to ship first from now on.
