Pro Mold Magnetic Holders - nappyface - 08-27-2012

I have some 2011-2012 SPA By the Letter cards that I want to get magnetic holders for. Any idea on which size holder I need? I'm guessing I need the 120 or 150 point sized holders and would like to confirm that. Thanks in advance for the help.

a while back, someone posted that these slide a little bit in a 130 pt. case, so 120 should be right if thats the case.

I am not sure if the 2011-12 SPA letters are the same size of the 2008-09 SPA letters..

I do not think they make 120pt holders... (edit: ProMold makes different size holders than UltraPro... that seems strange to me.. Just looked at the ProMold website.. they make 120pt & 150pt, while UltraPro makes 100pt, 130pt, & 180pt)

I don't got my Hakeem 2011-12 letter /5 pulled out at the moment, but I do know that the SPA 2008-09 "varsity letters", UD BLACK letters, & Chronology letters all fit in the 130pt holders...

Yes, they do slide a little, but I do not think they will get damaged (my unprofessional opinion).

I don't have any 100pt holders to check & not sure which cards I used them with... so I couldn't check that size..

I strongly recommend using UltraPro magnetic holder instead of the ProMold holders... I found the ProMold holders do not fit properly with my cards.. I received a few free ones from their site & was given a couple free ones from a card shop in downtown San Diego..

check below link for different sizes..

Thanks for the help. It sounds like the UltraPro 130 will work just fine for what I need it for. I am going to copy another guy's idea that I saw when searching through google images.

what players "letters" do you have?

That is a cool idea! looks nice being matted, especially if it is team colors..
I reposted the pic for the matted idea for you.

Here my Farmar letters.. I'm still trying to complete. last couple cards are 1/1 & /3.. so they are extremely hard to find..

Darrell Griffith "Louisville"

BTW, very impressive collection of Farmar letters you have there. Have you thought about some sort of display if/when you get it completed?

RE: Pro Mold Magnetic Holders - jpleazme805 - 08-29-2012

yes, I want to do both the Jordan Farmar (fullname & cityname) set & Andrew Bynum (fullname set)... don't think I'll ever get the rest of the Bynum cityname letters, since they are all 1/1.. I only have 6 of 16 letters.. thinking about selling them...

I might try to do a "lakers" cityname set... one letter of each player.. but Kobe will be a pain to get... & very expensive..

I'll probably do the matted frame set when I get it finished.. if I ever do.. I need 2 more fullname letters of Jordan Farmar to complete 2nd set.. (need letters "J" & "F"... both print run of /7)

good luck with your "Louisville" chase..
