Another EBay Issue - Patrick_cpg - 03-12-2012

So I am winning an auction on a 11 bowman chrome red refractor I need for my PC, and with about 1 day left and the bid at $13.xx, I get a bid retraction notice. I have flawless feedback there so I didn't think that could be the issue, and then I see it relisted. What, if anything can you do about this? Here is a link to the auction. Does anyone know who this is?

Guess he didnt like how the auction was going, so he pulled it. Not much you can do, pretty shady move by the seller : /

he's a trader here on beckett by the same screen name. maybe you can work out a trade with him. And it's not against the rules to do this.

I pulled a couple of cards 2-3 days ago because they weren't going for what I wanted. When I list auctions, if it isn't near what I want, I will end it with 12 hours and a minute left. It's my card and I can hold it. I'm not going to get it taken away from me for nothing. So that's my choice.

I don't know if you can do anything about it. I think it is dirty selling when people do that. If you are going to list it auction style then you take the risk of not getting the price you want, you should not cancell out bids and then relist it bin at the price you were hopeing to get for it. I am unsure if it is against eBay policy or not,but I would call them and ask. I think when you cancell an item with bids on it you have to mark why, like damaged, already sold, what ever. Sorry that happened man, says a lot about the seller for sure.

I agree nothing wrong with what the seller did and I do it also if an item isn't going to bring what I feel it should. Why should I allow it to go to the end and basically give it away because someone is looking to get it for pennies on the dollar ? It goes both ways and in the end the seller has the right to end the auction instead of letting someone basically steal the item right out from under him.

Didntdo anything wrong, he obviously wanted a lot more for it. Nothing you can do.

RE: Another EBay Issue - Krangry - 03-12-2012

If you dont want it to get stolen set a reserve, if you dont want to buck up for a reserve dont put it up for an auction, that is what the BiN / obo function is for.

+1. This is why I would never put something on an auction if I didn't want to accept the risk/reward. You could just as easily get more for the item than you expected. It just feels wrong, and while I can appreciate not wanting to take a low ball offer for something, we are all looking to get the most for the least, so it just seems wrong. jMO

seller did nothing wrong... i think he should have just listed it at a price with a best offer option like he just did now

RE: Another EBay Issue - Patrick_cpg - 03-13-2012

I did get an update from the seller on why he changed it so hopefully I can work something out with him.
