Merry x-mas to all! What did santa bring you? - muz0 - 12-25-2011
I want to wish everyone a very merry Chirstmas, a happy Hanukkah, a grand Kwanzaa, and whatever else floats your boat.
My father-in-law was an old time collector of many years and has since retired from the hobby aside from a few old-timers stuff. Anyways, I got an awesome present in the ways of a full "mint to near mint" collection of the 1985 topps set in a binder.. I'm going through it now and all i can say is wow. These cards look fantastic. Not a bend or a scratch on them. The centering id off of so many of these cards bu ti can tell these have been ripped from the pack and stored for about 25 years. I know because the plastics these are in say "Safe-T-Durapage. BBC100" haha. All and all good times. This will be stored safely in my lockbox until i retire in about 40 years..
Anyone else get some goodies?

While I am jealous of juda (love the weather there), I did spend some quality time with the family for sure...

My wife bought me my FIRST A-Rod Auto off the bay. Still waiting for it to come in though
. I unwrapped a Print-out of an aution she won on XMas Eve. lol. I'll post scan when it comes in. It's a Sweet Spot!!! She doesnt know much about the Hobby but she knows how much I love it so she's very supportive. She told me that she had no idea which one to get me,but liked the fact that 'It looks like he signed a ball and then they cut it out & put it on a card. So I liked that one & got it for you'. haha. ya did good Hun'. Also got a TON of Texas Longhorns gear,shoes,an A-Rod bobblehead, and a Teixeira Jersey. I had a great XMas!!!!!

Lots of cool stuff. I wish I got cards.lol. I did get a punch of new tools. New floor jack, jack stands, Multimeter,New impact wrench, socket set,and brake bleeder system. Oh and I also received a battery load tester. Either way, I'm very thankful and blessed.
