Sort by price - kinarism - 11-11-2011 01:55 PM

Would love to be able to sort a search selection by the price columns instead of just description.

they had it one point, but it was slowing the database down, so they disabled it. it is coming back in the future

Sort Prices High to Low:

All Items:

sorted

Recently Traded:

sorted

Recebtly Added:

sorted

Trash:

[http: //www.beckett.com/organize/#c=3000002]

sorted

Ignore the brackets, they are just there to disable the command.

Each collection has a code number.
For All Items it is 0
For recently added it is 3000000
For recently traded it is 3000001
For trash it is 3000002

Each collection is assigned a different number. It is found in the command line at the top of the page.

Copy and paste this portion onto the end of the command line.

&c_3456789sortname=price_high&c_3456789sortorder=desc

And then change the two numbers to match the number in the beginning of the command line.

&c_3456789sortname=price_high&c_3456789sortorder=desc

And then press enter and it will sort the prices high to low.

Yes, and it only takes like three seconds to sort over 20,000 items in my All Items. I thought the sort slowed down the database. Right.

maybe because they have been making improvements to the database processes?

Not really, It just loads the records in a different order. The same speed whether is is by card number or by price.

RE: Sort by price - cybercj2 - 01-16-2012 03:15 PM

Been with Beckett for over 10 years now and have seen many changes and upgrades. I have over 43,000 cards in my collection sorted by folders of different years. Used to be able to find my top 100 value cards by sorting the entire collection by Beckett High price but haven't been able to do that for a long time. I do not see that doing it manually is a valid solution. If I can sort on other columns just by clicking on it, why can't I do the same with the pricing columns? This is a big issue. I'm sure others would appreciate a date that this will occur as opposed to a flippant "It's on the way".

Thanks... quite helpful, any other organizer tips?
